My beautiful old percolator coffee went big in the sky this year ... I tried to make my tea Iced simply boiling water in a saucepan on the stove, but I'm getting something wrong somewhere, because it tastes quite blah. I try fill a jug 2.5 quarts, which I usually fill it with ice before pouring the tea, so I try and make strong tea - in fact very hard, because I prefer it strong and I do not sweeten it. Any ideas on the proportions of water tea bags / / ice use? Am I not boil?
Boil the water, once boiling turn off stove, add the tea bags (I would put at least 5) and let steep for 10 minutes, then pour on your ice. It sounds like you are putting in too much ice, just try the pitcher third or half filled with ice.
